Clearwater International advises Lauridsen Handel & Import A/S on its sale to Uniwater AB

Clearwater International has advised Lauridsen Handel & Import A/S, a leading supplier in wastewater infrastructure, on its sale to the Swedish industrial group Uniwater AB, product and solution provider for water and wastewater infrastructure and owned by Nalka, the IKEA-family’s investment company.

Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Varde, Jylland, Denmark, over the last 20 years Lauridsen Handel & Import A/S has established itself as one of Denmark’s leading suppliers of products, technical solutions, and services within the water and wastewater sector. Its product range includes equipment for ‘no dig’ pipe renovation and a complete product programme for wastewater management.

Lauridsen Handel & Import A/S stands out with an innovative focus on product development, advice, and total solutions for clients. Environmental factors are a key focus for the business, with an in-house production in Poland of products manufactured by reused plastic.

Uniwater AB is a Nordic industrial group specialising in water and wastewater, consisting of 13 companies across Sweden, Norway, Finland, and now Denmark. The investment in Lauridsen Handel & Import A/S aligns with Uniwater AB’s strategy, as it secures a strong foothold in the Danish market and an introduction to Central Europe through production in Poland.
