Clearwater International advises Jiba on the sale to Sunweb
Clearwater International has advised Jiba, a leading travel operator in the Netherlands, on its sale to Sunweb, a key player in packaged holidays.
Jiba is the second largest web-based travel operator in the Dutch market, with successive growth rates of over 50% per annum.
Sunweb, acquired by Taros Capital in 2005, aims to become Europe’s leading web-based travel operator.
As a result of this transaction, the new entity becomes the leading online travel operator in the Dutch market and ranks among the top three suppliers of sun and winter sports vacations to European destinations, with €250m in sales.
