Trebles all round for Clearwater’s Midlands team at the region’s Rainmaker awards 2023
The Midlands team secured three trophies at the Midlands Rainmaker awards last night, collecting Corporate Finance Team of the Year, Private Equity Exit Deal of the Year for advising Palatine on the sale of CTS Group to Oakley Capital, and Sarah Taylor as Rainmaker of the Year.
Sarah Taylor, who leads the Midlands team, joined Clearwater International at the end of 2021 as Partner within the Business Services sector. Since her appointment, Sarah has delivered great results for clients, completing deals with a combined value of more than £400m across the sector.
Clearwater’s Corporate Finance Team of the Year trophy at yesterday’s awards follows a successful sweep of award wins at other award ceremonies earlier this year, which includes Team of the Year at the North West Rainmaker awards 2023 and Team of the Year at the East Midlands Dealmakers 2023. The Midlands team also received the much sought-after trophy at the Midlands Dealmakers awards for two consecutive years, in 2021 and 2022.
During the qualifying period, the Midlands team completed 13 transactions with a combined value of over £1.1bn, across sectors including business services, industrial and chemicals and consumer.
Winners at this year’s event were revealed at a gala dinner and ceremony, which recognised the deals, teams and individuals in the Midlands that made the biggest impact in the previous year. Shortlists were created by more than 30 senior professionals and the winners were then selected with each firm getting one vote.
