Midlands team secure Corporate Finance Advisory Team of the Year title for second consecutive year
Global mid-market firm Clearwater International received the Corporate Finance Advisory Team of the Year trophy for the second year in a row at the Midlands Insider Dealmakers Awards 2022.
Described as 'great operators who know what they’re doing'
Described by the Insider judging panel as “great operators who know what they’re doing”, the firm also won the Refinance Deal of the Year award category for advising Palatine and CTS on its refinancing to support growth and Deal of the Year for advising Sykes on raising debt facilities from Ares to support its acquisition of Forest Holidays.
The annual awards celebrate the major transactions in the Midlands and the professionals who enable them to happen. The Midlands team were shortlisted across a record number of categories this year, highlighting how active they are in the market in the region.
These nominations include; International Deal of the Year for advising both Centiq on its sale to SoftwareONE and advising Palatine and Wren Sterling to support its sale to Lightyear Capital (the latter was also nominated for Deal of the Year), Mid-market Deal of the Year for advising Jessup on its investment from Palatine, Deal of the Year for advising Aquavista on its acquisition of Castle Marinas, in addition to Managing Partner Phil Burns being nominated as Dealmaker of the Year and Mike Slater shortlisted for Emerging Dealmaker of the Year.
