The team were also shortlisted across a number of other team and individual categories at the event, including PE Exit of the Year for advising Etex on its acquisition of Sigmat, Associate Director Rob Umpleby for Rising Star of the Year, as well as Richard Goldsack Partner who was nominated for Rainmaker of the Year.

Rainmaker awards deal win

Clearwater’s team in Leeds has continued to go from strength to strength since its launch. The firm celebrated its two-year anniversary earlier this year moving into a new and modern office location at the heart of the city centre.

Last night’s success follows the team’s recognition within the professional community in the region at the 2021 Insider Yorkshire Dealmakers awards. Richard Goldsack was awarded Dealmaker of the Year, whilst the team were recognised for Deal of the Year for advising Infinity Works on its sale to global professional service company Accenture.

The Rainmaker awards ceremony highlights individuals and teams in the corporate finance sector who have performed strongly during the year. Before this year’s ceremony more than 35 firms came together for a judging day to create shortlists, after which a larger group voted online on a ‘one firm, one vote’ basis to select winners.

Richard Goldsack, Partner, Clearwater International, said:

“We are thrilled to be recognised for our achievements at this year’s Rainmaker awards, and it doesn’t get better than being acknowledged for Team of the Year. It’s our people who make our firm great, so this award is really a testament to their hard work and commitment to our clients. As a team we thoroughly enjoyed the Rainmaker awards and it was great to see so many talented individuals from the professional community together in one room.”
