In line with Clearwater’s ESG and impact strategy, launched earlier this year, the collaboration falls under the firm’s Impact pillar, which aims to raise awareness of social mobility issues and provide solutions that ensure fair access and elevated prospects.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) has identified ten barriers to social mobility, four of which have been targeted through Clearwater’s strategic partnerships with charities whose work supports positive change in areas including education, health, technology, and inclusivity.

Jo Daley, Head of Impact, Clearwater International:

Jo Daley

“Working with partners such as these, really helps us to bring our ESG strategy to life and to demonstrate how we can create real, meaningful change, which is at the heart of our Impact pillar.

All our partnerships enable the Clearwater team to provide hands-on support, with plenty of volunteering and mentoring opportunities available.

We are delighted to be working with these organisations, who are so focused on delivering positive change.”

Young Enterprise

Young Enterprise edited

Young Enterprise is a national financial and enterprise education charity that motivates young people to succeed in the changing world of work by equipping them with the work skills, knowledge, and confidence they need. As the charity enters its seventh decade, much of the focus is on supporting young people with the greatest barriers to social mobility.

Clearwater is supporting Project ‘Inspiring Futures’, helping Young Enterprise to increase its impact in targeting Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) 1-4 schools with programmes across Manchester, London, Leeds and Birmingham, to ensure schools with wider demographics have access to programmes that support long-term professional development.

The children will learn about food literacy, grow their own vegetables, harvest them and expand their entrepreneurial skills by selling their crops at a local market, with all proceeds going back into the community.
