North West team land Team of the Year trophy at Insider North West Dealmakers
Clearwater International’s team in the North West celebrated a double win at the Insider North West Dealmakers awards last night, taking home the Large Business Corporate Finance Team of the Year trophy and Deal of the Year (£50m+) for advising OCU on its sale to Triton Partners.

The Insider judging panel commented that ‘Clearwater was the standout adviser’ and has ‘become a real force internationally’. During the qualifying period, the North West team grew its headcount across Clearwater's five service lines and completed 25 transactions, involving businesses based in the region and across the UK, with a combined deal value of c.£1.1bn.
Clearwater’s North West team was also shortlisted for several other awards, including Dealmaker of the Year for Head of Industrials Michael Loudon, plus Deal of the Year (£10-50m) twice, for advising Apiary Capital on its investment in First Intuition and advising Soho Square Capital on the sale of Alpine Fire to WestBridge.
This trophy continues Clearwater’s winning streak at the Insider awards, with the firm winning Team of the Year at the Midlands event for the last three years in a row. Additionally, earlier this year, the North West team also secured the Team of the Year trophy at the North West Rainmaker awards, further cementing Clearwater’s dealmaking impact across the region.
