Clearwater International advises Bergman Clinics on raising growth capital from Rabo Participaties

Clearwater International has advised Bergman Clinics, the market-leading chain of focus clinics in the Netherlands, on raising growth capital from equity fund, Rabo Participaties.

Bergman Clinics operates 22 clinics, with a workforce of 600 employees and 100 medical specialists. The majority of treatments are covered by health insurance. The company is a service-oriented and innovative provider of elective medical care, in the areas of appearance and skin care, movement care, eye care, women’s care, and internal care.

Rabo Participaties is one of the private equity funds of the Rabobank Group, focusing on investments in Dutch mid-market companies, to help them achieve their growth plans. After the participation in Bergman Clinics, Rabo Participaties’ portfolio consists of 10 companies, across a wide variety of industries.

This transaction provides Bergman Clinics with sufficient funding and support to further expand into the Dutch market. In the past two years, Clearwater International have also advised Bergman on several acquisitions, including the eye clinics of Ozon Oogkliniek and Phaco Centrum Oogkliniek, plus the carve-out of the eye care activities from Ziekenhuis Gelderse Vallei.
