Clearwater International advises Achmea on the sale of Achmea Vitale to Zorg vande Zaak Netwerk

Clearwater International has advised Achmea, the largest insurance group in the Netherlands, on the sale of Achmea Vitale, a leading occupational health and safety service provider in the Netherlands, to Zorg van de Zaak Netwerk, a joint venture between companies specialising in employment and health.

Achmea is also the largest Dutch health insurer, with 5.2m policyholders, and is active in eight European countries.

Achmea Vitale will continue to operate within Zorg van de Zaak Netwerk as an independent business under the Arbo Vitale name. All of the 800 employees will transfer to the new owner.

Employing 875 people, Zorg van de Zaak Netwerk is a joint venture between occupational health and safety service providers MaetisArdyn and Health Services, and companies with expertise in employability.

The proposed transaction is subject to approval by the works council and competition authorities.
