Clearwater International advises Miura Partners on the acquisition of a majority stake in Sabseg Seguros
Clearwater International has advised Miura Partners, an independent Spanish investment firm, on the acquisition of a majority stake in Sabseg Seguros, a leading insurance broker in Portugal.
Founded in 1999 and with 38 offices, Sabseg Seguros is the largest independent insurance broker in Portugal. The company employs more than 300 people, manages over €350m in insurance premiums annually, and has more than 200,000 customers between enterprises and individuals. It also has offices in Brazil, Angola, and Mozambique.
With this transaction, Brokers Alliance, the insurance brokerage firm owned by Miura in Spain, and Sabseg Seguros will combine into Sabseg Group, becoming a leading independent insurance broker in the Iberian Peninsula region, managing over €530m in premiums, and establishing itself as a leader in several business segments.
