The automotive industry has always fascinated me throughout my nearly 20-year career in corporate finance. Since 2010, I have focused on the automotive sector, which is characterised by global supply chains, changing dynamics, and a host of technological advancements, and whose leadership I hold as International Head of Automotive at Clearwater International.

We have over 30 employees in the international automotive sector team. Together, we advise on significant, usually cross-border M&A transactions in all automotive sub-sectors for family businesses, corporates and private equity houses. Our strong market access in Asia and the US gives us a clear competitive advantage, reflected in the high number of transactions we have successfully completed for Chinese and North American clients, buyers and target companies.

I started my corporate finance career at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson before joining the German mid-market boutique @VISORY partners as a co-founder in 2000, which merged with Clearwater International in early 2016.

I studied Business Administration and hold a 'Diplom-Kaufmann' degree (German MBA equivalent) from the University of Cologne, Germany, and a Major in Finance degree from Stockholm School of Economics, Sweden.
