Clearwater International advises Bruce College on its sale to Dukes Education

Clearwater International has advised Bruce College on its sale to Dukes Education, an international schools group with more than 40 schools across the UK and Europe. The purchase of Bruce College further enhances Dukes Education's presence in Ireland, following the acquisition of the Institute of Ireland in 2023.

One of the best-known schools in the Munster region, Bruce College is a co-educational school founded in 1990 by Liam O’Hora. It currently provides senior cycle tuition and exam preparation courses in 26 Leaving Cert subjects to over 270 full-time students and many thousands of part time students annually, while employing 50 full and part-time staff.

Dukes Education believes Bruce College has an excellent reputation and shares the same values for academic excellence as themselves. The name and operating model at Bruce College are to remain the same. Principal, Micheál Landers, is to continue in his existing role, however the founder of Bruce College, Liam O Hora, will exit the school.
