David Weavers

Biographie

I joined Clearwater International in 2017, having previously worked for Rothschild and Deloitte Corporate Finance. Moving to Clearwater represented an exciting opportunity to help a market leading advisory business with a fantastic culture continue to grow its client base.

I currently lead the healthcare sector team, and have experience working with listed PLCs, private equity clients and owner-managed businesses. The transactions that I’ve completed have included buy-side and sell-side deals, across a variety of sectors, including many cross-border transactions. This broad spread of deal types includes transactions such as the sale of Vernacare to H.I.G. Capital, the sale of Interface Clinical to a Fortune 500 company and the sale of Fieldbay to Civitas. In total I have worked on over 50 deals worth more than €10bn.

I particularly enjoy working with owner managed businesses – there is a real buzz about helping hard-working and dedicated entrepreneurs fulfil their ambitions. Often this involves enabling them to capitalise on a lifetime’s work by finding an appropriate acquirer for their business.

I have worked in the corporate finance industry for 20 years, hold a degree in Accountancy & Law from the University of Manchester, and was a national prize winner in the CISI’s Corporate Finance professional exams.
