Throughout my professional career, I have worked within business development and M&A – initially on the industrial side working within business development, strategy, M&A and post-merger integration and since 2011 on the consultancy side advising entrepreneurs, private equity and company owners as a sell-side adviser.
I joined Clearwater in 2017, having previously worked at Atrium Partners for 6 years. I started my career at Kompan, which is the world’s largest provider of outdoor playground equipment and – at that time – owned by Nordic Capital private equity.
Today, I primarily focus on the industrials & chemicals and business services sectors and have been involved in over 15 transactions during my career. Joining Clearwater has allowed me to work with a broad spectrum of entrepreneurs, business owners, management teams and institutional investors developing my consultancy competencies significantly.
In Denmark, I consider Clearwater as the most successful adviser in the mid-market segment. In my view, our success comes from our ability to meet clients at eye level. We can be informal, straight forward and have fun while at the same time we are professional, dedicated and always looking for the best for our clients. I like that way of working. Most deals are like a marathon, which is always a pleasure to complete.
To me, the most satisfactory part is seeing the client crossing the finish line with their arms in the air and a shout of joy for our joint achievement. It is always interesting to help clients achieve goals beyond that of the numerical value they have in hand after the sale of their company. Though money talks, there are often many more aspects to consider when a business owner passes on his or her company.
