Clearwater International hosts competition workshop with Aarhus BSS International Case Teams
25 Aarhus University students were judged on their ability to tackle a real-world case provided by Brands4kids
Clearwater International Denmark recently teamed up with Aarhus BSS International Case Teams, to host a 12-hour case competition workshop. 25 Aarhus University students were judged on their ability to tackle a real-world case provided by Brands4kids, a leading children’s clothing company and Clearwater client, having previously been advised on its sale to the capital fund Standard Investments.
The students were challenged to craft a comprehensive five-year strategic plan for Brands4kids. They addressed a wide range of commercial and strategic challenges, considered various valuation scenarios, and navigated intricate financial scenarios. During the workshop, the students also identified potential acquisitions for the company, leveraging their knowledge of buy-and-build strategies and investment banking to reach a successful outcome.

Erik Andreæ, CEO of Brands4kids and one of the competition judges, expressed his enjoyment of the event:
"It was a great pleasure to be involved, and I am personally super grateful that we were used as a case. It was great to see how the talented students went into the task with hunger in their eyes. I am impressed with how much they could achieve in 12 hours and how they managed to connect their theoretical knowledge with our real world.”
The workshop provided students with invaluable insights into real-world M&A cases, allowing them to apply their knowledge and skills in a competitive setting. This successful event emphasised the dedication and teamwork of the students, Clearwater International Denmark, and Aarhus BSS International Case Teams.
The Denmark team is already looking forward to hosting the next event in six months’ time, helping to nurture the talent and enthusiasm of future business leaders.
