In 2019, 5 Santé employed c. 500 people and generated a turnover of c. €44m.

5 Santé is a leading French player in patients with chronic diseases rehabilitation (pulmonology, cardiology, neurology and addictology). Over the last five years, the 5 Santé group capitalised on its know-how to develop its core activity, to acquire and integrate two transition care clinics in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, and to work on the development of new kinds of chronic patients’ support.

Korian, is the European leader in dependent elderly care, listed on the NYSE Euronext regulated market in Paris. With 850 establishments and healthcare networks covering four activities (medicalised nursing homes, specialised clinics, non-medical services homes and homecare) in over six countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands and Belgium), the group employs 54,000 people and generated a revenue of c. €3.3bn in 2018.

This is the second transaction Clearwater International has worked on involving 5 Santé, having previously advised the 5 Santé Group on financing for the acquisition of the Gustav Zander centre, a clinic specialised in follow-up care and rehabilitation, located in Aix-les-Bains.
