Clearwater has advised Abénex Capital on the sale of Outinord, a leading worldwide formwork designer, manufacturer and supplier to Sateco, a strategic peer in the construction industry that is majority-owned by Equistone PE fund.
Founded in 1955 and based in Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, France, Outinord designs, manufactures, and distributes metal formworks for the construction industry. The group also operates a distribution and rental unit in the US and since July 2018, a production facility in India.
The group benefits from a strong reputation and technical know-how recognised by its customers. Its experience, innovation capacity, international presence and new production facility in India are major assets in a context of tension on the raw materials price increase.
The acquisition of the group by Sateco will create a key player in France and abroad. The two companies will benefit from their complementarities in terms of product range, customers and geographies.
