Clearwater International advises the management of Brink Group on its MBO with H2 Equity Partners from Nordic Capital

Clearwater International has advised the management of Brink Group (Brink), a developer and manufacturer of towbar systems, on its MBO with H2 Equity Partners, an independent private equity firm, from Nordic Capital, the Norwegian private equity firm.

Brink is a leading developer and manufacturer of fixed, detachable, and retractable towbar systems that sell directly to major car manufacturers, as well as to the aftermarket. For the development of new towbar systems, Brink co-operates directly with major car manufacturers. With around 600 employees across five production facilities, Brink is active in seven countries throughout Europe and South Africa. They became an independent participant of Nordic Capital after its spin-off from Thule in September 2014.

H2 Equity Partners is an independent private equity firm active in Western Europe with 14 portfolio companies, generating a combined revenue of €2.5bn. The firm is hands-on with its investment and has experience in several industries, including automotive.

Founded in 1989, Nordic Capital is a leading private equity firm in the Nordic region, consisting of eight funds with a total of €12.5bn in committed capital. The firm currently has a portfolio of 25 companies with a combined revenue of over €11bn.

This transaction will expand and strengthen Brink’s leading position in the European market with a focus on innovation, marketing, and product development. H2 Equity Partners will support Brink’s growth and development plans.
