Clearwater International advises shareholders of Hollings Ltd on its sale to Assisi Pet Care Ltd

Clearwater International has advised the shareholders of Hollings Ltd (Hollings), a supplier of natural dog treats on its sale to Assisi Pet Care Ltd (Assisi), an animal care services provider, which will support Assisi’s goal of entering the pet care market in the UK and Europe.

Founded in 1980 by Jeff and Celia Hollings, the Yorkshire-based business has a head office, warehousing and distributions operation based in Skipton, as well as a purpose-built manufacturing facility in Worksop that produces a wide range of bones and treats, including over a 100 product lines. The business has a diverse customer base, from supplying independent pet shops to leading retailers and wholesalers.

Assisi is a relatively new company and currently has a presence in the pet care category in Europe. Through the acquisition of Hollings, Assisi will enter its first strategic step in its expansion plans and will be based at the Hollings head office in Skipton
