Clearwater International advises the shareholders of Saveurs & Nature on its sale to Rigoni di Asiago

Clearwater International has advised the shareholders of Saveurs & Nature, an organic chocolatier on its sale to the Italian manufacturer Rigoni di Asiago.

Founded in 2001 by a family of organic farmers, the company Saveurs & Nature was born in Saint-Herblain in Vendée, France, with the purpose of creating organic chocolates to accompany gourmet coffee dessert. Over the years, their fine products have become well-known in specialised organic stores. Located in the town of Saint-Sulpice-le-Verdon, the company employs 70 professionals, including 32 chocolate makers.

Rigoni di Asiago, the parent company of the famous Nocciolata, Fiordifrutta and Mielbio brands, has been creating and distributing healthy products with organic ingredients since 1923, which have become popular worldwide.

Today, France is Rigoni di Asiago's main export market, where its palm oil-free spread Nocciolata has become the first in organic, and second-largest player in the market as a brand for consumers looking for tasty, natural and environmentally friendly products.

By integrating Saveurs & Nature into its company, Rigoni di Asiago is strengthening its position in the French organic world. The ambition is to continue to help Saveurs & Nature to grow in specialised distribution in France and abroad, and to combine the respective know-how of the two entities to accelerate innovation, in which the production site in Montréverd will become the centre of excellence for the development of organic chocolate.
