Clearwater International advises Mountain Village on the sale to Equip Capital and Vendis Capital

Clearwater International has advised the owners of Mountain Village, a leading European producer and group of disc golf brands, on the sale to private equity funds Equip Capital and Vendis Capital.

Mountain Village was founded in 2005 in Skellefteå, Sweden, by four former disc golf professionals and enthusiasts with the idea to actively participate in the development and professionalisation of the global disc golf industry. Over the years, Mountain Village has grown to become the world’s second-largest producer of disc golf discs and today the company produces discs for several leading brands globally, including its own brand Latitude 64°. Mountain Village is praised by both resellers, as well as disc golf professionals and enthusiasts all over the world for the consistently high quality and reliability of the discs the group produces.

During a Clearwater International-led process in the spring of 2022, the founders chose to partner with Equip and Vendis who invested alongside the founders to become the majority shareholders of Mountain Village. The founding team will all remain significant shareholders in the partnership and will continue to be operationally engaged. Going forward, the group will combine organic and external growth levers to drive its strategic agenda with the ambition to build the House of Discs, the ultimate disc golf company uniting a number of leading disc golf brands building on strong pillars in branding and marketing, production, and R&D as well as distribution and course building.
