Clearwater International advises Hippo Digital on its investment from Growth Capital Partners

Clearwater International has advised the shareholders of Hippo Digital (Hippo), a design-focused digital transformation consultancy, on its minority investment from Growth Capital Partners (GCP), a leading private equity firm.

Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Leeds, Hippo’s 160-strong team of talented consultants provide a unique evidence-based, user-centred offering, predominantly to public sector organisations.

Working with organisations such as the NHS, Department for Education, and Department for Work and Pensions, Hippo supports customers on their digital transformation journey through a range of best-in-class services including research, design, delivery, engineering and data.

Demand for digital transformation services is accelerating, especially so in the public sector. This is driven by the Government’s announcement of a new digital strategy, which will require significant outsourced resources to deploy, automation as a means of cost-saving and the transition to cloud services.

Representing Clearwater’s seventh transaction in the digital transformation space in the last 12 months, GCP’s investment will support Hippo’s growth through the development of a more diversified service offering and increased recruitment.
