Clearwater International has partnered with five non-profit organisations and charities in support of its social mobility strategy. These partners include EVERFI, Dallaglio Rugby Works, The Change Foundation, Young Enterprise and School Food Matters.

In line with Clearwater’s ESG and impact strategy, launched earlier this year, the collaboration falls under the firm’s Impact pillar, which aims to raise awareness of social mobility issues and provide solutions that ensure fair access and elevated prospects.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) has identified ten barriers to social mobility, four of which have been targeted through Clearwater’s strategic partnerships with charities whose work supports positive change in areas including education, health, technology, and inclusivity.

Jo Daley, Head of Impact, Clearwater International:

“Working with partners such as these, really helps us to bring our ESG strategy to life and to demonstrate how we can create real, meaningful change, which is at the heart of our Impact pillar.

All our partnerships enable the Clearwater team to provide hands-on support, with plenty of volunteering and mentoring opportunities available.

We are delighted to be working with these organisations, who are so focused on delivering positive change.”

EVERFI

EVERFI from Blackbaud, is an international technology company, driving social impact through education to address the most challenging issues affecting society, ranging from financial wellness to mental health to workplace conduct and other critical topics.

Clearwater recognises that education and increasing access to financial literacy is at the heart of improving social mobility and is the first company to sponsor EVERFI’s new mobile-first education programme: Thrive aimed at 11–16-year-old students. Developed in collaboration with teachers and education experts, Thrive provides an engaging and relevant introduction to money management and empowers students to recognise financial education as a meaningful part of their lives.

Thrive demystifies financial literacy for students through relatable connections to everyday life and socio-emotional learning skills (e.g. self-awareness, prioritising, self-control).

Dallaglio Ruby Works supports disadvantaged, disengaged and excluded young people. With 63% of people in prison in the UK excluded from learning tools, it is essential to remove barriers to employment by supporting the provision of education and wider services to those young people struggling to continue in mainstream education.

Clearwater will be supporting four pupil referral centres and after school clubs across the Midlands, London and North of England, which provide excluded children with access to education facilities that supports their development and removes barriers which could exclude them from long term prospects.

The Change Foundation

The Change Foundation works with under-supported and vulnerable young people through the medium of sport.

Clearwater is the first organisation to support their pilot programme called Stepin2IT, which targets young people aged 18-25 from under-supported backgrounds. The tech focused programme provides them with training and support to gain skills, knowledge and experience to secure employment within the sector.

Young Enterprise

Young Enterprise edited

Young Enterprise is a national financial and enterprise education charity that motivates young people to succeed in the changing world of work by equipping them with the work skills, knowledge, and confidence they need. As the charity enters its seventh decade, much of the focus is on supporting young people with the greatest barriers to social mobility.

Clearwater is supporting Project ‘Inspiring Futures’, helping Young Enterprise to increase its impact in targeting Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) 1-4 schools with programmes across Manchester, London, Leeds and Birmingham, to ensure schools with wider demographics have access to programmes that support long-term professional development.

School Food Matters

School Food Matters edited v2

School Food Matters is focused on teaching children about food and improving their access to healthy, sustainable food during their time through education.

Clearwater is supporting their Young Marketeers Programme, which will be delivered in Birmingham and Leeds across four schools in each region. The children will learn about food literacy, grow their own vegetables, harvest them and expand their entrepreneurial skills by selling their crops at a local market, with all proceeds going back into the community.
