Clearwater International advised Countrywide Supplies ("Countrywide"), a leading distributor of prescription medical products, on its cross-border sale to Atos Medical.
Countrywide Supplies is a licensed dispensing appliance contractor (DAC) for the UK, providing Head & Neck and Ostomy products directly to patients.
Founded in 1986, Atos Medical is the global leader within the Head & Neck medical products area. The company has a history of strong growth in the Swedish healthcare businesses: its products are sold in 80 countries around the world, providing annual revenues in excess of €100m. In 1996, Atos Medical started its UK operations (based in Eastbourne) under the name Platon Medical. This transaction further supports the company's commitment to the UK market and consumers.
