Clearwater International advises Cognis on sale of its Oleochemicals to Golden Hope
Clearwater International acted as financial adviser to Cognis Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG on the sale of it’s 50% share of its own fat chemistry activities (Oleochemicals and successor products) to Golden Hope Plantations Berhad, Malaysia.
The area of fat chemistry of Cognis Group is the world's largest producer of natural fatty acids and glycerol. These products are the starting point for a variety of applications such as detergents, food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. With approximately 1,100 employees, the company achieved sales of around €690m in 2004.
