Clearwater International has advised Campofrio Food Group on the sale of a majority stake in Jean Caby SAS to Foxlease Food

Foxlease Food, represented by businessman Eric Steiner, will become a majority shareholder with 51% of Jean Caby, while Campofrio Food Group, as a minority shareholder, will continue to have a supporting role in the company’s strategy.

Jean Caby, one of the leading French brands of cooked sausages and ham, operates 3 factories in Lille, Quimper and Landivisiau and employs over 1500 staff.

Campofrio Food Group is one of the largest processed meat companies in the world, with a leading market position in Europe. The group has production sites in various countries designed to supply domestic and overseas markets.

Eric Steiner will bring his operational and industrial expertise to the strategic development of Jean Caby’s business in order to promote its high quality products both in France and overseas.
