Clearwater International advises Bluetab Solutions on its sale to IBM Global Business Services

Clearwater International has advised Bluetab Solutions, SL (Bluetab), a Spanish leader in Big Data, on its sale to IBM Global Business Services (IBM) to expand its portfolio of hybrid cloud and data consulting services in Spain and Latin America.

Founded in 2005 by Tom Uhart and Jose Luis López and based in Madrid, Bluetab is a multinational company specialised in software, technology consulting, cloud ecosystems, Big Data, and data analytics, that helps companies in their digital transformation.

IBM, nicknamed "Big Blue" and ranked as the 18th largest company in the United States, was founded in 1911 as Computing Tabulating Recording Corporation and is the result of the merger of four companies. Headquartered in Armonk, New York, it manufactures and markets computer hardware and software and provides infrastructure, internet hosting and consulting services across a wide range of computing-related areas, from mainframe computers to nanotechnology.

The acquisition aims to accelerate Bluetab's growth by helping companies generate business value, from managing their data and expanding their hybrid cloud and AI strategy to create new customer experiences and redefine their operations.
