Clearwater International advises Eurogalva on securing a €3m investment from Explorer Investments

Clearwater International has advised Eurogalva, a specialist in hot dip galvanizing on securing a €3m investment from private equity firm Explorer Investments.

Eurogalva is a Portuguese industrial services company dedicated to coating processes of metallic surfaces, specialised in hot-dip galvanization. Founded in 2005, as part of an industrial conglomerate, the company was acquired by its management team in 2014. Since then, the company has been growing organically and investing in the continuous improvement of its processes.

Explorer Investments is a leading Portuguese private equity firm with more than 15 years of experience, over €1.4bn under management and four different business areas. The Explorer Growth Fund II was recently created with the strategy to support mid-cap Portuguese companies in pursuing and increasing their investment in R&D.

The investment from Explorer will be used to develop the business’s long-term growth strategy, focusing on R&D, innovation, and development of new processes, to increase Eurogalva’s positioning in value-added industrial services.
