Clearwater International advises Credit Agricole Nord de France on sale of their stake in Saint Amand

Clearwater International has advised Crédit Agricole Nord de France on the sale of their stake in Saint Amand to Alma group.

Alma group own the Cristaline, Saint-Yorre, Thonon and Courmayeur brands, among others. The transaction received approval from the French Competition Authority on June 21st, 2012 and was closed on June 29th 2012.

The Chantraine family, Saint-Amand historic shareholder, and Crédit Agricole Nord de France, which partially exited, will continue to accompany the development of the group.

As one of the last significant independent players in the French mineral water industry, Eaux Minérales de Saint-Amand achieved €80m sales, both under its own-brands (Saint-Amand, Saint-Antonin, Montcalm) and private labels. The group operates 7 production sites in France and employs 280 staff.
