I joined the Marseille team in 2014 after having worked first in strategy consulting at Booz Allen & Hamilton, then in operational functions in various environments including the automotive industry at PSA Peugeot Citroën, cell phone distribution at Avenir Telecom, and finally the banking sector at Société Marseillaise de Crédit. I have participated in several sale and external growth processes across a variety of sectors. In the healthcare sector, I advised on the sale of Hôpital Privé La Casamance to the Almaviva Group, in the food & beverage sector I advised on the sale of Confit de Provence to French Gourmet Food, and in the industrials sector, I advised on the sale of PB Environnement to the Faun Environnement Group, and the acquisition of several transport companies by the Cogepart Group. The diverse range of transactions I have been able to work on over the last few years, the specificities inherent to each sector of activity, to each company and to each manager or shareholder, makes this job exciting. Understanding our clients' expectations, building, and implementing effective solutions adapted to each specific situation is particularly important to me and makes my daily work very stimulating. I am a graduate of ESCP Business School and have a Master's degree in Strategy and Marketing from the University of Paris Dauphine.

I founded the Clearwater team in Marseilles over 20 years ago. The Mediterranean region has many up-and-coming businesses which we are ideally placed to advise given our close proximity. I started my career in the corporate finance department of PwC and then joined EY. Following this I co-developed the activities of Edmond de Rothschild in Marseille for five years. Over the years, I have supported small and medium-sized companies that have sometimes become large corporations. The diversity of the transactions I have advised on makes me a generalist, or rather a multi-specialist across various sectors including business services, healthcare, industrials, specialised distribution, and TMT. More recently, I advised on the various build-up operations as well as the primary and secondary LBOs of the Cogepart Group, the French leader in last mile delivery. I also advised Hôpital Privée La Casamance on the merger with the Almaviva group and the entry of FrenchFood Capital into Markal, a major player in the organic food sector. Today, Clearwater International is ideally positioned to accompany clients through the increasingly rapid changes in the market, remaining adaptable and utilising our sector specialists in both our French and international teams to meet client goals.

I am a Partner of the Clearwater International Amsterdam office after joining the business in 2001 and have over 20 years’ experience in corporate finance. During this time I have supervised a large number of transactions in numerous sectors, both extremely competitive sales processes for private equity, as well as delicate one-to-one processes. I particularly enjoy working for private companies (owner-managers) and assisting management teams in buyouts. After graduating in Electrical Engineering from Delft Technical University, my first role was as an engineer in the R&D department of Océ NV. After obtaining an MBA at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, I then worked for four years as a strategy consultant, in a wide variety of business sectors, eventually becoming a director of a high-tech company.

At Clearwater, every project provides the challenge of finding the best possible approach. When a business is sold, the focus is often on realising the highest possible proceeds for the shareholders. But a good future for the company and the people who work there is often equally important. I get more excited when solving this puzzle is difficult, for example because the market has developed negatively, the intended buyer is the most important customer or supplier, or the company has had disappointing results for a few years.

I am a Partner at Clearwater International Spain and represent the Spanish and Portuguese offices on the Clearwater International Board. Operating from Madrid, I lead our Spanish industrials practice, where I specialise in B2B businesses. My focus is in the chemicals and agribusiness sub-sectors, as well as ingredients for human food, animal health and plant health. Before joining Clearwater Spain, I worked as Corporate Finance Manager at Granville Baird Investment Banking. I also held the positions of Manager for Corporate Finance in Spain, Financial Consulting Director and Manager for the valuations department at Deloitte in Madrid and London. During that time, I was involved in more than 70 Spanish and international transactions across various sectors. At Clearwater, I have led 45 transactions with a value of more than €1.2bn. These include the MBO of Secna by Corpfin, the acquisition of Nutrafur by Frutarom, the acquisition of Tecnobakery by Lesafre, the sale of Probelte Biotech to Euromed and the acquisition of MD Moldes by Alantra. For years, I have been developing and offering M&A services based on sector specialisation, as well as proactive and strategic origination of transactions to help generate value for both our financial clients (private equity funds) and industrial clients.

Since 2006, I've primarily advised owner-managers, particularly in the consumer, healthcare, and business services sectors. I'm motivated not only by the transactional work itself but also by the discussions leading up to the transaction and the dialogue with owners on where they want to take their companies. The positive energy and informal atmosphere, combined with focused and professional guidance, are what make Clearwater truly special to me. The varied work of advising many different types of owner-managers in significant decisions and the entrepreneurial spirit that characterises both our clients and us is what drives me every day.
