Clearwater International advises the shareholders of Papeterie Zuber Rieder on its sale to Fedrigoni Group to create the world's leading producer of premium papers for the wine and spirits market

Clearwater International advises the shareholders of Papeterie Zuber Rieder (Zuber Rieder), a high-quality paper manufacturer, on its sale to Fedrigoni Group, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of fine papers, creative papers, premium wine labels, and self-adhesive labels.

Founded in 1881 and based in Boussières, Doubs, France, Zuber Rieder was taken over in the early 2000s by Luc Gaillet and Alain Martz with the aim of repositioning the company in a fast-growing segment of premium labels for wine and spirits. With nearly 130 employees, Zuber Rieder has experienced strong growth, turning its industrial facilities into one of Europe’s most efficient speciality paper production sites.

Fedrigoni Group employs 4,500 people in 27 countries and sells over 25,000 products across 132 countries. With this acquisition, Zuber Rieder becomes part of the Fedrigoni Group's paper division.

This partnership will enable the new entity to become the undisputed, global manufacturer of premium papers for wine and spirits as Zuber Rieder will benefit from Fedrigoni’s production capabilities and international network to continue its growth.
