Clearwater International advises NTI Group on its sale to Axcel

Clearwater International has advised the owners of the consultancy and software company NTI Group on the majority sale to the Nordic private equity fund Axcel.

Founded in 1945, NTI Group is a leading full-service supplier of digital solutions offering Building Information Modelling (BIM), and 3D designs and digitalisation for the construction, design, and manufacturing industries in Europe. The company’s international journey started in 2004 when it expanded into Sweden, leading to becoming the first Autodesk Platinum Partner in the Nordics in 2015, while it is currently amongst the largest Autodesk partners in Europe. With approximately 600 employees, NTI Group has an annual revenue of over €220m.

Axcel is a leading Nordic private equity fund with offices in Denmark and Sweden founded with the purpose to invest in and develop companies through active ownership. Since 1994, Axcel has carried out 64 platform investments and over 100 major add-on acquisitions with a strong track record and vast experience within the technology sector.

The new partnership will enable NTI Group’s further organic growth and acquisitions strategy with the aim of continuing the roll-out of the company’s state-of-the-art software solutions to customers across Europe. The current majority owner of NTI Group, Jesper Kalko, will continue as an active part of NTI Group’s board and management, and will together with several of the current minority owners reinvest in NTI Group together with Axcel.
