Clearwater International advises Difrax on its sale to Canpol Babies

Clearwater International has advised Difrax, the Dutch market leader in baby products, on its sale to Canpol Babies, the Polish baby accessories provider.

Difrax was founded in 1967 by Frank and Dimphna van Eijkelenborg, and in 1999 daughter Vivienne van Eijkelenborg took over the company. From that point, a strong focus on product development and exporting to other European countries began, with great success. As a result, Difrax became the market leader in the Benelux, with their iconic S-bottle and butterfly-shaped coloured pacifiers. Through a team of 25 employees, the company now mostly services the Dutch, Belgian and French markets, where it is well known for its unique design and functionality of its products.

Canpol Babies is a Polish baby accessories producer which has been leading their respective home market for 30 years, as well as being available in over 50 countries, with a particular focus on Eastern Europe. Through this acquisition, Canpol Babies begins its first large step in their expansion to the Western European market.
