Clearwater International advises Cognis Deutschland on sale of its PVC stabiliser activities to Sun Ace Kakoh
Clearwater International acted as sole financial adviser to Cognis Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG on the sale of its PVC stabiliser activities to a consortium of Reagens S.p.A. and Sun Ace Kakoh Pte. Ltd. in a combined asset and share deal.
Cognis’ stabiliser business is a leading manufacturer of lead and non-toxic calcium/zinc stabilisers, used in PVC processing for applications such as profiles, pipes and cables. The business comprises three manufacturing sites in Germany and Asia and employs approximately 160 staff. The acquisition will enable the buyers to benefit from Cognis’ technological leadership and further strengthen their market presence in Germany and Northern and Eastern Europe.
