Clearwater International advises Comet Consular Services on its sale to CIBT
Clearwater International has advised Comet Consular Services (Comet) on its sale to CIBT, a global provider of immigration and visa services.
Established in 1985, Comet Consular Services offers professional visa and legalisation services in the Nordic market. Comet is a leading player in the Nordics and the company has built an impressive position through impressive customer satisfaction, strong relationships with embassies and consulates, and a strong ability to cope in a changing market. Comet links the customer with the international market through fast and efficient handling of visa applications, legalisation, translation, movement and document logistics.
The group was bought by CIBT, a global provider of immigration and visa services for individuals and businesses, with more than 60 offices in 27 countries. CIBT regularly acquires companies in the sector and has made more than 50 acquisitions since 2012.
Comet’s turnover was more than €8.2m (SEK 86m) in 2018. The company has approximately 50 employees and offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Oslo and Helsingfors.
