Clearwater has advised the insolvency administrator of Companhia Agrícola Penha Garcia, S.A. (CAPG) on the sale of the private estate Herdade de Vale Feitoso to Vestein Spain, SL.
Herdade de Vale Feitoso is one of the largest private properties in the Iberian Peninsula with 7,400 hectares and is located in Castelo Branco, Portugal. The property is mostly comprised of certified forest areas, agricultural land, as well as natural water surfaces. Herdade de Vale Feitoso is also a renowned location for recreational hunting activities and home to more than 2,500 wild animals such as deer, mouflon and boar.
In the context of the insolvency proceeding of CAPG, Vestein Spain, SL acquired Herdade de Vale Feitoso and all its assets for €20.7m.
