Since joining Clearwater in 2020, I have been involved in numerous transactions across the TMT, Industrials & Chemicals and business services sector, working on a variety of complex transactions advising entrepreneurial business owners and private equity funds.

Josefine Johannessen

I joined Clearwater International's Stockholm office as an Analyst in the Autumn of 2023. Prior to this, I gained valuable experience in M&A transaction services within financial advisory at Deloitte, where I assisted on two sell-sides and over 15 buy-sides, primarily focusing on the business services and consumer sectors. I hold an MSc in Banking and Finance from Utrecht University in the Netherlands and a BSc in Business and Economics from Uppsala University in Sweden.

Guido Mesmer

I joined Clearwater Switzerland as a Partner in 2023, with previous experience of more than 10 years in international M&A, capital markets and financing transactions. From 2017 to 2022, I worked at UBS and was responsible for the execution of complex M&A, private placements, equity, and debt capital markets transactions. Prior to that, I was part of Lazard Zurich, executing mid-market buy- and sell-side M&A transactions, as well as Credit Suisse’s equity capital markets division, executing IPOs and other capital markets transactions in Switzerland. Throughout my entire career, it was my primary objective to serve my clients with uncompromised professionalism, great enthusiasm, and daily commitment, to be able to give the best advice in every situation. I graduated from the University of St. Gallen with a master’s degree in Banking and Finance and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Michael Quinlivan

I joined Clearwater International in 2021 as a Senior Associate in the Dublin Office. Prior to joining Clearwater, I was a Manager in PwC Dublin’s Transaction Services Deals Advisory team where I worked on a broad range of transactions covering Europe and the US, with an aggregate value of over €2bn. I am a Chartered Accountant having trained within the Asset and Wealth Management Division in PwC and hold a Master Degree in Business Information Systems. I am also a qualified Primary School Teacher.

Fernando Cogollos

I joined Clearwater International in January 2020 as an Analyst, supporting the M&A Team across the wide variety of industries we cover. I chose to join the Firm because of its leading market position and multi-sector expertise as well as its challenging and dynamic environment. Prior to joining Clearwater, I worked for two years as a member of the Investment Management Team at Gestamp Automoción and performed an internship at Fiat-Chrysler in the Finance Department. I hold a Degree in Business Administration and Management with a major in Finance and a Master´s Degree in International Project Management, both from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE).

Marcus Lindberg

The reason I enjoy the job so much is the opportunity to influence a transaction towards the best possible outcome by focusing on the right things – in addition to all the inspiring clients one gets to meet and wonderful colleagues. I joined Clearwater’s Stockholm office in August 2021 after completing my studies abroad. Since then, I have had the pleasure of advising both founding entrepreneurs and institutional owners in transaction processes.

Kiran Khatkar

I joined Clearwater as a Deal Assistant in 2023 and I take responsibility for transaction execution, stakeholder management, and deal administration across our broad range of services. Since joining, I’ve been lucky to be involved in a broad range of buy-side, sell-side, and debt advisory transactions. I work closely with the deal teams to tailor our deal strategies and processes to best meet the specific goals and interests of our clients.

Norbert-Markus Roth

I support the German-speaking countries of Clearwater as a Senior Adviser and together with our debt advisory team, I advise medium-sized companies and groups on a variety of financing issues and accompany them throughout the transaction process. Before joining Clearwater, I was Head of Origination Corporate Finance / Equity Capital Markets at Commerzbank AG having joined in 1999. At Commerzbank AG I advised on transactions with a focus on mid and large-cap companies in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. I started my career as a Security Trader at FSE and continued as Head of Syndicate at DZ Bank AG responsible for mid-cap transactions. As a corporate finance expert, I specialise in advising IPOs, capital raising, secondary offerings, spin-offs, private equity buy-outs and debt advisory.

William Poirson

I joined Clearwater in November 2021 as an Associate. With eight years’ experience in the banking industry at LCL, I started my career in Credit Committee, moving to the Coverage and Leveraged Finance teams. During my last experience, I worked on mid cap transactions for several private equity funds. I decided to join Clearwater for its solid reputation on the small and mid cap transaction market, its strong ambitions on the debt advisory practice, its entrepreneurial mindset and its human-sized team. In a dynamic and competitive transactions environment, the ability to offer different financing structures with firm commitment under challenging timings is becoming more and more important for our clients, and therefore justifies the growing relevance of a debt adviser. I graduated from Grenoble Ecole de Management with a Master’s degree.

Felix Hansson

The most rewarding aspect of being part of Clearwater is the opportunity to guide entrepreneurs through decisions that often represent pivotal moments in their professional lives – selling the entirety or a part of their company and life's work. As an adviser, it's crucial for me to approach these matters with the utmost respect. Collaborating closely with ambitious and talented entrepreneurs is very fulfilling, as it allows me to contribute my expertise to ensure the best possible outcome in every transaction. I have been engaged in private M&A transactions at Clearwater since 2020, having assisted successful entrepreneurs across multiple industries and regions in Sweden. My very first completed transaction was the sale of Systeminstallation to Alder, which I remember especially well. Prior to joining Clearwater, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from Stockholm School of Economics.
