I have worked in M&A since the 1990s when the discipline was still in its very beginning and have been a part of Clearwater's journey from a small start-up to the position we hold today. The many years of advising have taught me that no two transactions are the same and that it is essential to be able to immerse in our clients' reality to understand their business and their visions for the future. Besides my role in Clearwater, I practice my great passion for wine as co-owner and manager of a vineyard in Bourgogne.

Rob Britton

I was a founding member of Clearwater in 2003. We saw the need for a solution-driven, adaptable approach to delivering M&A services to growing entrepreneurial businesses. My 30+ year career has spanned banking and corporate finance. As a Partner in the Clearwater Industrials & Chemicals sector team and Growth team, I have advised on over c.65 deals of all kinds. Having the opportunity to work with interesting people and businesses across a range of sub-sectors, with a focus on the client at the heart of everything we do is what makes the job exciting. There is nothing more satisfying than helping a business owner through the challenges and rigours of a transaction on a day-to-day basis and then delivering the most successful outcome for them.

Grégoire Houëdry

I am currently an Associate Director at Clearwater having joined in 2018 as an Analyst. I have been involved in transactions across the healthcare and business services sectors, most notably advising on the sales of France Thermes and Crèches de France. Clearwater creates a challenging and demanding environment which allows me to push myself every day alongside experienced professionals. Working in M&A is particularly exciting work with the opportunity to help clients in strategic decisions and to participate in their economic growth. I graduated from Université Paris-Dauphine with a major in Corporate Finance and Financial Engineering.

Julien Choppin

I am a Managing Director at Clearwater and have advised on many transactions across the consumer, real estate and business services sectors. In particular, I have worked on complex transactions with leading businesses offering them innovative solutions to meet their specific needs. Client satisfaction is my main objective in order to create long term relationships and repeat business. I joined Clearwater in 2010 after previous roles in M&A advisory at Close Brothers (DC Advisory) and in private equity within GMT Communication Partners in London. I graduated from IESEG with a major in Corporate Finance.

"Financial transparency" is my hobbyhorse. I have been providing financial support to companies from various sectors for more than 20 years: in the area of M&A, particularly with regard to fit for sale and due diligence; in the area of restructuring in the development and implementation of solutions with maximum benefit for all parties involved. After studying business administration, I gained many years of practical experience and knowledge in advising our clients as CFO (medium-sized companies) and controller (internationally active plant and mechanical engineering company). I have been with ZETRA AG (corporate finance consulting) since 2002 and with Clearwater since 2023.
