As a partner at our Copenhagen office, my focus is primarily on growth and technology companies.

Luca Jaax

Since 2023, I have been employed at Clearwater, primarily supporting our M&A team in the Industrial & Chemicals sector. During my bachelor's studies, I worked in FX Sales & Trading at Erste Group AG, where I gained initial experience in banking. After that, I completed various internships and student positions in Financial Advisory, Private Equity, and M&A. I have a Master's degree in Finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Vienna. Even today, I still enjoy spending time in Vienna in my free time, cooking together with friends or riding my motorbike.

Joel Ejdesjö

I started at Clearwater in 2022 after graduating from the Stockholm School of Economics. Since joining the firm, I have had the privilege to work on numerous deals across multiple sectors, such as Industrials, Business Services and TMT. A selection of transactions that I have been involved in includes the fast-growing IT consultancy Agreat sold to Broviken and the sale of the school administration SaaS platform Vklass to Visma. Before joining Clearwater and in parallel to my studies I gained valuable experience from several different internships, within Private Equity, Corporate Finance and Debt Advisory, at Orlando Capital, SEB Corporate Finance, Infranode and Teal Capital, where I was involved with investments and transactions across a variety of sub-sectors. I hold a BSc in Business and Economics and an MSc in Finance, both from the Stockholm School of Economics.

Joris Heerkens

I am a Partner of the Clearwater Amsterdam office after founding the Dutch business in 2001; I have over 20 years’ experience in corporate finance. During this time I have supervised a large number of transactions in numerous sectors, both extremely competitive sales processes for private equity, as well as delicate one-to-one processes. I particularly enjoy working for private companies (owner-managers) and assisting management teams in buyouts. At Clearwater, every project provides the challenge of finding the best possible approach. When a business is sold, the focus is often on realising the highest possible proceeds. But a good future for the company and the employees is often equally important. I get more excited when solving this puzzle is difficult, because the market has developed negatively, the intended buyer is the most important customer or supplier, or the company has had disappointing results for a few years.

David Weavers

I’ve worked in M&A my entire 23-year career, with experience in the Big 4 (Deloitte Corporate Finance), Investment Banking (Rothschild) and now Clearwater, since 2017. I have broad and deep experience advising owner-managers, private equity investors, and PLCs. I lead the UK healthcare sector team which advises companies across all areas of Healthcare, Medical Equipment and Devices, and Pharma/Life Sciences.

Gareth Iley

I have worked in mergers and acquisitions since I qualified as an accountant. I was a founding employee of Clearwater in 2003, after I had spent time in both transaction due diligence and advising businesses on floating on the UK stock market. Since we formed Clearwater, I have focussed on advising businesses on selling to international trade buyers or private equity funds, especially within the consumer sector. In 2022, I joined the UK board and took responsibility for all aspects of the operations of the UK business.
