Clearwater International advises the shareholders of Mathilde Médical Développement group on its sale to Vivalto Santé

Clearwater International has advised the shareholders of Mathilde Médical Développement group on the sale of its operating assets and real estate to Vivalto Santé.

The Mathilde Médical Développement group is made up of the Mathilde Clinic in Rouen, the Bergouignan Clinic in Evreux and two radiotherapy centres in Evreux and Melun, France. The Mathilde Médical Développement group is one of the main players in the Normandy region and the leaders for many specialities, such as ophthalmologic surgery, gynaecologic surgery, heart surgery and ENT surgery. The Mathilde Médical Développement group has more than 550 employees and almost 150 medical practitioners, more than 350 beds and 28 operating rooms, and hosted 45,000 hospital stays and 37,500 radiotherapy sessions in 2018, with a reported revenue of €55m.

The operating assets and real estate have been acquired by Vivalto Santé, the third French private operator of acute care clinics with 34 establishments over six regions; Bretagne, Normandie, Pays de la Loire, Ile-de-France, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

Following the acquisition, Vivalto Santé now owns more than 5,000 beds and generates more than €800m in revenues.
