Clearwater International advises Bouvard Italia on its acquisition in Forneria Gusparo
Clearwater International has advised Bouvard Italia (Bouvard) on the acquisition of a 75% stake in Forneria Gusparo (Gusparo), an Italian company active in the production and distribution of bakery goods.
The Fagagna (UD) based Bouvard was founded in 1962, and manufactures and distributes traditional, ethnic (Kosher), organic, refrigerated and celebration sponge cakes. Whilst the company offers its own brand name goods, the bulk of distribution is done under customers’ private labels (large scale retailers and industrial groups).
Established in 1976, the Coseano (UD) based bakery Forneria Gusparo specialises in the production of sponge cakes and natural leavened products, which are available in the retail and catering sectors.
From the acquisition Bouvard will be able to focus on its future growth both nationally and internationally by increasing product interest and addressing customers' needs within the market.
Andrea and Francesca Gusparo, owners of Gusparo, will play a relevant role in future development, keeping their relationship with the company both with a minority stake and management positions.
