Clearwater International UK advises UK-listed Lakehouse plc on its cross-border sale of Orchard Energy to World Fuel Services Europe, Ltd, a subsidiary of US-listed World Fuel Services Corporation

Clearwater International UK has advised UK-based asset and energy support services group Lakehouse plc, on its divestment of Orchard Energy (Orchard), an energy management service company, to World Fuel Services Europe, Ltd (World Fuel Services).

Orchard provides consultancy advice to corporate clients to help manage their energy costs, particularly energy procurement and usage. The business also provides energy management services to commercial and industrial customers, including brokering supply with utilities firms, managing contracts and advising on energy consumption. Orchard has over 70 employees operating across the UK, with strong commercial relationships with leading UK utilities providers.

Lakehouse is an asset and energy support services group that constructs, improves, maintains and provides services to homes, schools, public and commercial buildings with a focus on clients in the UK public sector and regulated markets. Services are delivered through four divisions: Compliance, Energy Services, Property Services and Construction.

World Fuel Services is a global energy management company involved in providing energy procurement advisory services, supply fulfilment and transaction and payment management solutions to commercial and industrial customers, principally in the aviation, marine and land transportation industries.
