Clearwater International advises Waterland Private Equity Investments and SJMG Health Investments on the sale of MauritsKlinieken to Holland Venture and management
Clearwater International has advised equity firms, Waterland Private Equity Investments (Waterland) and SJMG Health Investments (SJMG), on the sale of Mauritsklinieken, a specialist in skincare treatments, to equity firm Holland Venture, and management.
Waterland is a private equity firm with offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Poland, and the UK. The firm currently has a portfolio of 32 companies across various sectors and is one of the top performing private equity funds worldwide, with committed capital of €4bn.
SJMG is an independent private equity firm, managed by the founders of Mauritsklinieken, focusing exclusively on the healthcare sector. The firm invests in healthcare companies, such as specialised clinics, that offer publicly as well as privately financed treatments.
Mauritsklinieken specialises in treatments in the field of dermatology, skin therapy, varicose vein care, and cosmetic care. The company also treats skin cancer, psoriasis, acne, and eczema. Mauritsklinieken employs over 95 people across clinics in The Hague, Nijmegen, Utrecht, and Amsterdam.
With a portfolio of 15 companies, Holland Venture is a private equity firm focusing on SME companies active in the healthcare or technology markets. The firm uses an active investment approach, to realise growth plans together with management teams.
With this transaction, together with the management team, Holland Venture aims to further develop Mauritsklinieken as a skincare expertise centre in the Netherlands.
