Clearwater International’s team support Camerata in the community school projects

Clearwater International’s UK team have volunteered with registered charity Manchester Camerata in one of its community programmes. The midlands team will be working with children from primary schools across Stafford, to create Shakespearian inspired music and songs; culminating in performances at the Stafford Gatehouse on the 13th February 2017.Manchester Camerata has been recognised as ‘probably Britain’s most adventurous orchestra’, an innovative orchestra which performs both nationally and internationally, supporting schools and care facilities throughout the UK. Camerata collaborates with a spectrum of artists from classical to rock.To celebrate the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, Key-stage 2 pupils from 18 primary schools in Stafford, will take part in half-day workshops with a Camerata composer and musician, along with the support of the Clearwater International staff, to create new instrumental music and songs based on Shakespeare’s Macbeth. The Clearwater volunteers will be helping with pastoral care of the children as well as rehearsals and filming the performances.The collaboration of Camerata and Clearwater International will help enrich the lives of local communities. The community programme is about encouraging people to use music to create positive change in their lives. The orchestra is at the forefront of music-led dementia research, continuing its commitment to health and wellbeing.Clearwater International will be sponsoring two of Camerata’s UpClose events – eclectic and experimental gigs often in unexpected venues. These will be two of the most adventurous events to date, which will be announced later this year. Watch this space.
