Clearwater International advises FnB Private Equity on the sale of Lartigue & Fils and Tradition de Vendée to a financial holding company

Clearwater International has advised FnB Private Equity on the sale of Baserria Group to a financial holding company. The investment fund FnB Private Equity has made its first exit by signing a final agreement to sell the capital of Baserria Group which was acquired in 2018. During the last four years, the group has expanded its distribution area, extended its product ranges, in particular the ham and regional specialities, and diversified its activities, both through external and organic growth.

Established in 1947, Lartigue & Fils, Baserria Group's historical entity, is a specialist in premium foie gras. Its acquisition of Tradition de Vendée, an artisanal charcuterie producer that uses raw materials from a dedicated network of free-range pigs, without GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms) or antibiotics, in 2020, has allowed Lartigue & Fils to benefit from a local supply, in accordance with the recommendations on animal welfare, and with "Label Rouge" and IGP certifications.

This acquisition has subsequently allowed Baserria Group to expand and enrich its product range. Thanks to this external growth operation, the group has now a balanced portfolio of premium products in its historical business and new areas.

After four years of growth, Baserria Group and its managers are now pursuing a new phase of development supported by a new majority shareholder.
