Clearwater International advises Degussa on sale of its p-Cresol and Antioxidants business to ARQUES Industries
Clearwater International acted as sole financial adviser to Degussa GmbH on the sale of its p-Cresol and Antioxidants business, comprising Degussa Sant Celoni S.A., Spain, and Degussa Knottingley Ltd., UK in a combined asset and share deal to ARQUES Industries AG.
The acquired business is one of the largest producers worldwide of phenolic antioxidants, p-Cresol (which serves as the main raw material for phenolic antioxidants), sulfonic acids and thiophenes. With approximately 140 employees, the business has generated consolidated sales of approximately €60m in 2006.
