Clearwater International advises the shareholders of Telecom Design on an equity investment led by Andera Partners and the Management

Clearwater International has advised the shareholders of Telecom Design, the key player in IoT solutions, on the equity investment led by Andera Partners and the Management. The transaction, resulting in a €70m financing round, is designed to support the group's strong development ambitions in Europe and internationally.

Founded in 2000 and based in Canéjan, France, Telecom Design specialises in the design of innovative IoT solutions, ideally positioned in two fast-growing markets, well-ageing and smart home security. With a footprint in France, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the Nordics, the group has evolved into the European market leader in smart home security solutions. Through an unrivalled innovation track record and a proprietary IP, Telecom Design has been able to position itself among the up-and-coming in the sector with strong growth potential.

The business has a strong 2026 roadmap including expanding its distribution of well-ageing products, its European roll-out and the development of its smart home security products in new geographies, while it expects its revenues to grow in the years to come, with a five-fold increase in sales by 2026. Through this major transaction, Telecom Design provides itself with the means to change dimension, diversify its product offering and explore new geographies such as the US.

Andera Partners, a leading private equity player, invests through its Winch Capital 4 fund vehicle. IRDI Capital Investissement, the group's historical partner, is reinvesting in this transaction, while Ixo Private Equity is exiting. Andera Partners is also supported by the management team and by the company's banking pool composed of Crédit Agricole Mutuel d'Aquitaine, Crédit Lyonnais, Caisse d'Épargne Aquitaine Poitou Charentes and Caisse d'Épargne de Midi Pyrénées.
