Andreas Lindström

As an M&A Adviser, getting the opportunity to meet and assist entrepreneurs and owners of great companies in an array of industries is a privilege. Being afforded the chance to work together to achieve an optimal outcome is an environment in which I thrive and is a strong driving force for why we always go the extra mile. I joined Clearwater in 2021 and have been involved in M&A throughout my career subsequent to studying for a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Finance at Stockholm School of Economics. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time on the golf course competing and hanging out with friends.

Afonso Lima

I am a deal leader at Clearwater International based in Porto, with 10 years’ experience working in corporate finance in a broad range of sectors. During this time I’ve been advising shareholders, management teams and institutional investors, completing remarkable sales, buy-outs, fundraises and strategic investments, among other transactions. I joined the firm in 2008 as an M&A analyst, and since then, I have seen the Portuguese office grow from a local M&A boutique to a truly integrated international company, that offers its clients combined global sector expertise and local knowledge, in handcrafted advisory services. Before Clearwater, I studied Economics at the Faculdade de Economia – Universidade do Porto (2008) and later, I completed a MSc in Management for the Creative Industries (2013) from Faculty of Economics and Management and School of Arts – Catholic University of Portugal. I also have experience in Not-for-Profit organisations, in educational and cultural sectors. With Clearwater I’ve had the opportunity to evolve from an Analyst to an Associate Director, leading projects from a sourcing stage to completion, by doing what really drives me in this industry: contributing positively towards business growth, creating value for entrepreneurs, and designing and delivering unique investment and development opportunities.

Sarah McMurdo

With over 30 years’ experience as a Chartered Accountant in both practice and industry, I joined Clearwater in 2016, at an exciting time of the UK and International growth. It is very rewarding to be part of the continued development of the Clearwater business and work alongside such a team of talented people.

Rasmus Østergaard

I joined Clearwater International in May 2017, having previously worked for Arla Foods as an Intern, Aarhus University as a teacher and Jyske Bank within capital management. I wanted to join Clearwater partly because of its good reputation as a great workplace and partly because I saw a great opportunity to develop my skills within finance and strategy. Since joining I have broadened my commercial, as well as my financial understanding and learned how to apply this to M&A advisory. Over the years I have gained transaction experience across a wide range of industries including industrials & chemicals, TMT, healthcare and consumer. Additionally, I have worked with a variety of both owner-managed and private equity held companies, such as Golf Experten, Holiday Group Invest, Controlled Polymers, and Graphic West. The wide range of industry and client type experience has been an important learning curve in my career journey so far and is extremely valuable when working on new projects. The dynamic team culture at Clearwater International is another motivating factor, as every day you’re surrounded by inspirational people that are always willing to help you develop further. I hold an MSc in Finance and International Business, which I obtained from Aarhus University.

Agatha Tufnell

I joined Clearwater in January 2024, as a PA based in the London office. My role is to provide support to the International COO, Partners, and team members within the consumer team. Prior to this, I was at an international fine jewellery business based in West London, providing support to the Director. Overall, I have over three years of experience as a Private PA, working for a range of high-net-worth individuals. I am pleased to be part of the Clearwater team, taking on the new challenge of working in a corporate environment.

David Zhan

I joined Clearwater in January 2022, working as an Analyst in the Paris office. I chose Clearwater because of its renowned reputation as one of the leading corporate financial advisors within the French and European mid-cap M&A markets. Beyond its strong reputation and deep sector expertise, the business is about people and creating a culture that is great to work for. Prior to joining the company, I worked at Crédit Agricole CIB, Capitalmind and Transcapital, where I was able to participate in several projects across the industrial, TMT, business services and agri-food sectors.
