Clearwater International advises the owners of HJ Lubricators on its sale to G&O Maritime Group

Clearwater International has advised the Jensen family, owners of HJ Lubricators (HJL), a developer and supplier of cylinder lubrication systems to the marine industry, on the sale to the PE-backed G&O Maritime Group (G&O). The owner family continues as the management in the company and going forward it will become co-owner in the G&O group.

Founded by Hans Jensen over 100 years ago, HJL supports the green transition in the marine industry by developing and supplying effective flexible cylinder lubrication systems for large two-stroke engines. The company is headquartered in Hadsund, Denmark, which is the centre for all development and production, while its sales departments are based in Singapore and China. The business offers a wide range of products and services by combining its unique history and high-quality standards, meeting its clients' needs. The development of more sustainable fuel types has increased the demand for flexibility in the cylinder lubrication systems, and HJL’s solutions can be customised to such requirements. G&O is a group of companies within the marine industry processing and supplying a range of equipment and services for leading global players. Headquartered in Allerød, Denmark, G&O has production in both Denmark and China and has around 160 employees.
