Clearwater International advises Monviso Group on raising new finance

Clearwater International has advised Monviso Group (Monviso), a company operating in the production of bakery products, on raising a new loan guaranteed by Sace.

Founded in 1936 in Torino and currently headquartered in Andezeno (TO), Monviso began as an artisanal producer of childhood and diabetic nutrition products. During its history, Monviso has grown due to the development of innovative and unique concepts, constantly renewing its cult products, and a number of strategic acquisitions. This includes Biscotteria Tonon in 2015, a historical company located in Verona that specialises in pastry biscuits, and Grissinificio Europa in 2018, a company located in Cuneo that specialises in the production of breadsticks.

Currently, the Group specialises in the production of bakery products such as rusks, breadsticks, and biscuits, commercialised under its own brands and through third-parties. Monviso represents the main brand in the premium rusks market, with a high-quality and palm-oil-free range of products.

Crédit Agricole and BNL-BNP Paribas have been the lenders involved in the financing of Monviso, with Sace issuing the guarantee for the new loan.

This transaction represents an opportunity for the Group to support its further growth plans, after demonstrating its resilience over the past three years in tough market conditions.
